Have you ever considered using video marketing to attract other businesses? If you haven’t you might want to consider the possibilities. After all, business to business marketing isn’t about telling the potential customer that you can provide the best service. It’s about showing them exactly how you will do it.

Establish Your B2B Goals for Video Marketing

Your online B2B video marketing needs to have specific goals and objectives. These can be anything from an increase in sales and an overall jump in brand and product awareness to something as specific as “an increase of 15% in customer recognizability by the end of the next fiscal month.” Whatever they are, be sure to keep them in mind while you are creating your video.

Remember That Businesses Are Run by People

Despite what the media may indicate, big corporations that you’re trying to land as clients with your video marketing are run by people. These people have invested their time, money, effort, and a good portion of their lives. By keeping this in mind, you can create a video marketing approach that focuses on what they need to make their business even stronger and more fiscally sound. That of course, in one form or another is your product or service. In the business to business world, just like in the business to consumer world, the bottom line is whether you can provide a better value overall. Video marketing, if used correctly can be a sure-fire way to convince your potential clients of this fact.

Video Will Show Who You Are

Never forget that video is a visual medium. How you present yourself and your company to others will forever be ingrained in their psyche as who you are. When creating a video to place on the Internet, take the time to do it professionally, look put together, and have all your material ready to go. Make sure it is accurate, and never, ever misleading. Remember, this may be the only chance you have to make a great impression on your next business to business client.

Written content may be king, but video marketing is quickly moving up in the ranks. The art of showing someone exactly what you can provide is truly leaps and bounds above any written word in the real world. All you have to do is think about the thousands of hits on YouTube or other video sharing sites, and you’ll begin to see the potential that video marketing could have in your plan.

Still not convinced? In the next few paragraphs, we’ll show you just how to use video marketing to maximize your advertising dollar, whether you are selling stock options or pancake syrup.

The Content is Important

Sure, a catchy tune at the beginning is great, and some flashy and bright images at the beginning will certainly catch an eye or two, but the bottom line is you need something with substance, something worth watching. The video should focus on the service or product that you are promoting, not the latest hit single playing on the radio airways.

Before you upload your next video, ask yourself these questions: 1) Will the viewer remember my product 30 seconds after the video is over? 2) Will the viewer ask questions after the video is done? and 3) Have I provided an avenue for them to get answers? If you can honestly answer those questions in the affirmative, you have created an effective video.

Cater to Your Audience

People who live in the marketing world are constantly told to keep the audience in mind; and it is just as true in video marketing. Targeted marketing is one of the most efficient and effective ways to gain new clients, and keep the ones you have returning. So take the time to do a little research before producing your video. Who will benefit most from this product? Who will most likely want to use your service? What demographic will most likely be attracted to what you have to offer? By addressing these questions, you’ll be able to more effectively aim your video marketing at the best potential clients.

If you market your business online, there is no doubt that video marketing is quickly becoming one of the most utilized tools in your arsenal. If you are new to the arena, or simply need a bit of a refresher, here are a few good, essential tips that you need to know about video marketing.

Essential Tip # 1: Pay Attention to the Online Community

Yes, you have a product to sell, and a service to provide. And you know that it is a wonderful product, sure to alleviate the need that it was created for. But, the only way you can get your product or service in the minds and hearts of the viewer is through effective communication. So when you upload your video, pay attention to the various comments, notes, or response videos that are created. Chances are there will be some good constructive commenting somewhere in the mess. You can respond, either with another video, a comment, or perhaps an improvement to your product.

Essential Tip # 2: Share and Share Alike

One of the most regretful mistakes that you can make with video marketing is limiting who can see the video. It makes sense, really. If you want the video to be seen by potential customers, you need to put it in front of their eyes. So take a little extra time and effort to let others embed and share your video. By doing so, you’ll always have your video being shown to someone else, who has the potential to become your next great client.

Essential Tip # 3: Remember to Update

There are thousands of videos on the internet, and without current content, chances are your video will get lost among the weeds. Generally speaking, people like to see something new and current, not something that was uploaded a few years ago. So, if you have a video that has been out in cyberspace for a while, consider reviewing it, and updating its content. Who knows, the re-vamped video may just reinvigorate your client list.

We all know the wave of technology is upon us and on that wave is the use of videos. If you haven’t implemented the use of videos to market your business you are sure to be left behind. But don’t fret, there’s still time and begin implementing videos into your marketing plan and one you should highly consider for 2011.

If you are unsure how or where to begin below I will share some answers to the most common questions that may help you venture into the video marketing world. For more tips, be sure to look through this site as well as Ask Mr. Video site.

1. Do I need fancy equipment? The simple answer to this question is ‘No’. If you are merely starting out or a veteran to the video marketing world, you will find that using a simple point and shoot video camera will work well. For some who don’t have access to a video camera, many computers are now equipped with web cams which will also allow you to record. And, if that wasn’t enough, some smart phones also have video recording capabilities that you can use.

2. Can I record my video in my office or do I need a special studio? You can certainly record your videos in your office or outside. Be sure to be aware of your surroundings as well as the background of your video. You don’t want your audience to be distracted with a busy background, so you may consider shooting in front of a blank wall, curtain or bookcases. If you are outside, be sure to stay away from too much background noise that may interfere with your message.

3. How long should the video be? There are many different answers to this question. The common one is to keep your videos short and to the point. Some videos can be as short as 45 seconds and as long as 4 minutes. Keep in mind your message and your target market. Not many individuals will have the luxury to stop and watch a 15 minute video. However, if it is instructional, be sure to keep it entertaining with some background music or breaks in between. As long as you are sharing a message that you feel many will benefit from, the length will not really matter.

4. What type of lighting should I use? Natural lighting is the best and will enhance your features better. However, not many have the luxury of recording outside or near a window so if using lighting be sure to have the lighting shine behind you. Play with the lighting as well. You may find that the lighting in your room may produce shadows that will be distracting. Always test the camera, lighting and sound to have the best outcome.

Promoting your business can be a daunting task. With the use of videos you will be able to share more of yourself, your product or service and connect with your market. Too many are missing out on this connection process and in turn missing out on a large part of their market. Don’t be shy! Step out and start using videos to market your business today!

When you’re trying to grow your business you need to make sure you use the most popular tasks whenever possible. One thing you shouldn’t overlook is video marketing. YouTube is one of the most popular social networking sites for video marketing and it’s one you should take full advantage of whenever possible.

People are using videos for everything these days. Videos help people learn, fix things, and enjoy music. No matter what type of business you run, video marketing is a tool you should use so you can help your target market and grow your business.

One very important reason why you should use video marketing in your business is the search engine ranking you’ll receive. Videos attract people to your site and that is the best way to increase your page rank. When you create videos for your business it’s important you mention your business name and URL at least once during the video. Videos are very easy to install on websites and they work perfect in blog posts. When this happens and you mention your business name and link you’ll increase your traffic without doing anything at all.

Pictures tend to grab the eyes of your visitors, so it’s a good idea to have a video on your page. While text is good for the search engines, it doesn’t catch the attention very easily. Another advantage to videos is that the search engines will usually rank your site higher when the keywords are used.

Indexing is important with websites. When you have videos on your site people will want to watch it and they’ll search your site to see if they can find more. One thing you need to know is it will take just a few hours for the videos to be indexed so it’s the perfect way to build your business quickly through links.

When you work to get your video listed on the first page of the search engines it’s a good idea to use the best title, description, and keywords possible for your video. When you do this you’re sure to have high ranks and more traffic to both your video and your website.

You can create as many videos as you want, but nobody will watch them if you make them available. The best thing to do is place all of your videos in one location. You can do this is a couple of different ways. One is to post all of the direct links and brief descriptions to your videos on a web page. The other way is to make sure you post all of your videos to your YouTube channel.

Once you have one of these options set up, you’re ready to start marketing that page. Now we all know about the traditional marketing techniques. These would include social networking, text ads, and word of mouth. Let’s not negate these techniques, but with that said, there are several other marketing techniques you should use to find more people to watch your videos.

One of the most unique ways to market your business is to use Facebook ads. These are similar to Google adwords, but slightly different. Facebook is one of the most popular networking sites online. With these ads, you’ll have the ability to pick and choose the people you target. This allows you to make sure your videos reach the exact target market you’re looking to reach.

The best way to create a Facebook ad is to look at what others are doing. First thing you need to do is login to Facebook and look to the right side of your page. You’ll see a title, a picture, and a one or two sentence ad. This is what your ad will look like as well. You need to be creative and stand out above the rest. Choose your keywords wisely.

Millions of people use Facebook daily whether for personal or business use. No matter who your target market is, you’re sure to find them on Facebook. When you create videos for your business, it’s a good idea to share them with those people. Facebook ads are the best way to get the word out and to share it with the exact people that are in your realm. Go for it, what have you got to lose. Try a Facebook ad for 30 days and study the results, you will be amazed at what you’ll find.
