Perry, This looks awesome! From what I can see, it appears that we can edit 2 videos and 2 audios at same time. Is that right? We just used 2 videos cameras to record a scene and it looks like we can’t use Camtasia to edit the 2 at same time. Is that a limitation you’re familiar with?

    [Reply]

    Perry Lawrence Reply:

Meredith, it uses an A B Roll metaphor. You transition from the A roll to the B roll. Not too difficult and super easy to get visually what is going on at all times. You can do multicam editing by putting cam 1 on track A and cam 2 on track B and transition between the two!

Looks exciting… can you lower the sound track on the FLIP, eliminate it or make it louder when you put it through the editor?

What formats; players; sizes, etc., will be available?

I can’t wait to see it.
    Christine

You can adjust the volume of your video tracks and also of the separate audio track. You can mix the audio.

Thanks for the quick and encouraging reply, Perry! What’s your pricing model – one-time purchase or monthly/annual fee?

    [Reply]

    Perry Lawrence Reply:

Still working that out. Suggestions? Thoughts?

    [Reply]

    Meredith Bell Reply:

Most online services are monthly or annual fees. I’d have to experience it to give you a suggestion about price. We could beta test it for you by editing some videos, if you’d like. We’re a software company so we know how to test software!

    Hey Perry

Looks great. Will there be an optional downloadable version? My concern with the online version is that video files can be large and the upload time would be quite lengthy.

I also wouldn’t be using it “on the go”. 99% of the time, all editing would be from my home office.

If fact, having a desktop version would be more convenient all around. That way, I’m only uploading once (when taking my final version to the web).

    Just my opinion/feedback/suggestion :-)

Looks like an awesome tool either way.

I like software as well as it is usually more reasonably priced than pay-by-the-month services. Just my personal opinion! Probably Perry, you have a model for two types of services if you want online and offline!

    Perry Lawrence Reply:

Thanks Marty! I do like the Flip software but it is quite limited. This is a few steps up from that and has a number of advantages. Plus, I’ll be posting tips, tricks, tutorials and ideas along with the roll out so you can maximize the tool!

    [Reply]

    Roz Fruchtman Reply:

That will be helpful Perry. Getting to learn how to use a software or service is usually the downside if there are no or not enough tutorials and tips and tricks as you say! It causes lots of frustration and worse yet so much wasted time!
